History:
Monika practices The Art Jin Shin Jyutsu, an ancient art of harmonizing life energy in the body. Her background consists of studies of Fine Arts in her native Poland, and Eastern Mysticism. After emigrating to America she devoted many years to the study and practice of ways to effectively bring balance and harmony to people's lives. Among other methods she has chosen the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu as the main focus of her work and service to humanity. After having experienced a remarkable recovery from grieving after death of her mother, she has embarked on the mission to bringing this little known ancient art to people who are suffering from grief, depression, ongoing stress, chronic physical conditions or emotional imbalance. She continues to educate herself about the art and its philosophy. As a certified Self Help Instructor, along with a one-hour sessions, she offers clients simple ways to assist themselves at times of need, and encourages a daily practice of "tuning the body into its natural harmony" with the art of Jin Shin Jyutsu. Her practice is located in downtown Ventura.

The Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu:

Translation: The Art of the Creator through a Compassionate Person, or

The Art of Living, The Art of Compassion and The Art of Happiness.
Jin Shin Jyutsu brings balance to the body's energies and promotes optimal health and well-being. Born of innate wisdom and passed down from generation to generation by a word of mouth, the Art had fallen into relative obscurity when it was dramatically revived in the early 1900's by Master Jiro Murai in Japan. After clearing himself of life-threatening illness, Master Murai devoted the rest of his life to the research and development of Jin Shin Jyutsu. The resulting knowledge was the given to Mary Burmeister, who brought it to the United States in the 1950's.
Jin shin Jyutsu employs 26 "safety energy locks" along energy pathways that feed life into our bodies. When one or more of those paths become blocked, the resulting stagnation can disrupt the local area and eventually disharmonize the complete path of energy flow. Holding these energy locks in can bring balance to mind, body and spirit.
Learning Jin Shin Jyutsu engages one in a self study and self help. Through this process we recognize the wisdom of the body, and learn to interpret the messages it gives us.
A Jin Shin Jyutsu session generally lasts an hour. It does not involve massage, manipulation of muscles, or use of drugs or substances. It is a gentle art, practiced by placing the fingertips over clothing on designated safety energy locks, to harmonize and restore the energy flow.
For those addressing existing stress or health disharmonies, or for those simply wishing to participate actively in maintaining health, harmony and well-being, the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu is a simple yet powerful tool.
